In Search of a Soul
Documentary
A symbolic, concrete building of war and hope.
In Search of a Soul is a compelling broadcast documentary on how the new Canadian War Museum came to be. We produced this visual and spiritual homage to its famous architect Raymond Moriyama, and to the Canadian soldiers who paid the supreme sacrifice in war, after completing a 2-year contract with CWM that saw us write and produce all their AV assets. Set against the backdrop of the museum's stunning architecture, the documentary goes into rich detail on Raymond's vision for a definitive home for Canada's military past, present and future. Narrated by Sonya Smitts (and Christine Landry in French) the production featured many emotional sequences with Raymond blended with historical accounts of famous Canadian military battles such as Vimy Ridge and Paschendale. The documentary continues to be aired, each year, on Remembrance Day.
